[Feature Request] - Auto Updater

description

You release fast. Which is awesome. Wondering how we could wrap an auto updater around the designer. Later to visual studio via NuGet? Or extension processing? Dreaming big.

Well, it's done now - Clickonce as the main distribution method. Should be a simple matter to keep it up to date now.

The easiest option for auto updating would be to make it a clickonce deployment. However, it's purposely intended not to be installed anywhere (rather you simply include the binaries in a folder as part of the build process). Also, you'd need to host the deployment package somewhere, haven't investigated if clickonce manifests can be hosted on codeplex. Haven't really thought on this more than that.

It shouldn't be too difficult to create a vs2010 extension - as everything the builder does apart from encryption and running is already part of vs. That would solve the intellisense bit - at least while you're on a dev machine. The builder is mainly intended to be used on the deployment environment. I won't have time for a while to look at this, maybe you feel up to it?
